In this chapter of Shakespeare’s Plantagenet saga, Bolingbroke now crowned Henry IV is faced with challenges to his reign. His oldest son and heir is engaged in misadventure with the rogue knight Falstaff and a rebellion arises that present a serious threat to the legitimacy of his rule. Coupled with his own guilt over the manner of his ascension, Henry must find a way to face these challenges before England descends into chaos.
